Some Cool Shopping in Valencia, Spain

– “Hey, where’d you get that cute outfit?”

– “In Valencia, actually – and it was a steal!”

Young people love the top Erasmus study programme destination in Europe (we told you about it here), Valencia, among other things because it’s a perfect size stroll and you get around easily. And that makes it a breeze to do a lot of things, including shopping.

Old Town’s charming Carmen neighbourhood is a key name to remember, especially for quirky, alt boutiques on streets such as Carrer de la Bosseria, Plaça del Tossal and Carrer del Quart.

Another is Carrer de Colón, a 15-minute stroll from the central Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Built atop the former mediaeval city walls, today it’s one of Valencia’s main commercial thoroughfares, and marks the boundary between the Old Town and the 19th-century area known as L’Eixample, which features broad avenues lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants – also a favourite weekend hangout of young Valencians.

For especially bargain shopping, check out Factory Bonaire, an outlet mall on the outskirts of the city.

So as you can see, you can add shopping to the list of great reasons to visit Valencia!
