Art enthusiasts and culture vultures, if you haven’t already checked out one of the art world’s most remarkable events, the Venice Biennale in one of the world’s loveliest cities is still wowing the public until November 22. This year the theme is “All the World’s Futures”. Buy a €60 Biennale Silver Card for tickets to various exhibitions and discounts on various performances as well as purchases at the Biennale Bookshop.
Italy’s inimitable canal city has a thing about biennial extravaganzas. In addition to this one devoted to all that is cutting edge in art (held since 9 May), there are others devoted to theatre (30 July-9 August), dance (25-28 June), cinema (another blockbuster, 2-12 September), music (2-11 October), and architecture (not held this year, but slated for 28 May to 27 November 2016).
In between all the art, La Serenissima continues to enchant, of course – and don’t miss a stop for a drink at one (or more!) of the buzzing pubs and cafés in the central square Campo Santa Margherita. Check out cheap flights to Venice here!
