What to do in the Rio Carnival?

Are you are already thinking of your city to celebrate the carnival this year? Here’s our next suggestion!

Don’t let another year pass by without enjoying the colourful experience of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival. Music, costumes, fun and dancing, is all waiting for you from the 6th to 10th February.

The Rio Carnival is clearly one of the most important celebrations in the South American scene or maybe in the entire world. Although there are many events organized over these four days, we’re going to highlight the most outstanding ones for you. On the first day, you won’t be able to miss the opening in the Sambadrome Marqués de Sapucai where King Momo is crowned. On the following day, the samba continues to be the main feature of the celebrations and the best thing to do is to go to the samba schools parade in the Sambadrome.

Continue with the parades on the third day and this time the dancing will be accompanied by the colour and the imagination of those who participate in the event of the creation of floats. Last but not least, it will be the parade of school children that will close these 4 days of partying. It seems like you won’t have much time left for other things but we assure you that you will return dancing to the rhythm of the samba.

And if you are going to stay for a littler longer, remember that on Sundays the Ipanema Fair is held 😉

Who’s up for a trip to Rio de Janeiro?
